A PERFECT ENGLISH SUMMER'S DAY

For a perfect English summer's day out, combine the small, charming cathedral city of Chichester and fine choral music in its Gothic cathedral on last weekend July: Thirty members of Thames Philharmonic Choir sing anthems, psalms, and settings by such luminaries of choral music as Howells, Dyson and Stanford, at cathedral services Friday to Sunday 26-19 July, while the resident choir takes a break.
