Theo Golden, the 19 year old counter tenor who sang the exquisite solo part in Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, with Thames Philharmonic Choir at Cadogan Hall in March, actually hails from the diocese of Chichester. Leonard Bernstein was commissioned to write a work for the Southern Cathedrals Festival in Chichester in the 1960s. Theo is in his first year of studying music at Durham University, but his local paper, the Midhurst & Petworth Observer, picked up his story from our press release.
