Guildford Cathedral Connections

Theo Golden, the 19-year old counter-tenor who is singing the ethereal voice of the young King David in Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms at our big concert at Cadogan Hall on 10 March, first sang the Work in Guildford Cathedral. That's where the Choir is singing choral evensong on Saturday,10 March, at 5pm. We will be singing Thou Wilt Keep Him In Perfect Peace by Herbert Sumsion and Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D by George Dyson.

This was a thoughtful and well-researched piece that highlights meaningful connections often overlooked. The historical context added depth without feeling too dense, which made it an engaging read. I’ve read a related cultural reflection on https://www.inspereza.com/ that approached similar themes from a broader review angle, and together they really show how these connections continue to matter. A very insightful article overall.
