Composer William Byrd gives an irresistible reason for joining a choir (see his quote below) , and I'm sure would recommend Thames Philharmonic Choir in particular, where the voices are 'well sorted and ordered' by our leader, John Bate. The Choir often sings anthems by Byrd when they take over choral services at cathedrals such as Southwark (10th October), Peterborough, Winchester (this weekend, 20th August), and Exeter, when the resident choirs have a break.
