More information

We are holding an “Open Rehearsal” on Tuesday 16th January at St Margaret’s Church Putney, where we rehearse every week, so that you can see what it’s like to sing with the choir.

In the Spring term we will be rehearsing for our concert on March 16th at Cadogan Hall where we will perform the German Requiem by Brahms.

Coming to our Open Rehearsal will enable you to experience singing with us, and to benefit from coaching by our inspirational Musical Director, Harry Bradford. We will have music scores available for you to borrow.

The rehearsal will end earlier than usual so that you can join choir members for drinks, and you can ask them about their experience in the choir. You’ll find we are a friendly bunch, and we’d love to meet you!

For more information, or to register your interest to attend, please email webmaster@thamesphilharmonicchoir.co.uk

It’s also fine simply to turn up on the evening, but please arrive 10 -15 minutes before the rehearsal starts so we can ensure you have a seat with singers from your voice section.

Finding us: The address is St Margaret’s Church, Putney Park Lane, SW15 5HU. Putney Park Lane is a private, unmade road.  If arriving by car we recommend parking to the east of the church on William Gardens, St Margaret’s Crescent and Granard Avenue, and then walking down Church Walk. Or park on Sunnymead Road, Parkstead Road and Pleasance Road to the west. Bus 430 is convenient from Putney Station (alight at the Elmshaw Road stop).

Please note: Rehearsals take place every Tuesday during term-time between 7.30 and 9.45 pm, with occasional extra rehearsals on Wednesdays before concerts. After two or three rehearsals, if you decide you would like to join, we will arrange a relaxed voice assessment. You do not need to be able to sight-read music, although it helps.
